Should i write this? please i really want to know!?

i was thinking about writing a fiction story about the columbine macre. my story would revolve mostly around the two killers and perhaps in the end i was thinking about maybe having them have second thoughts about doing the killings and having it not happen. would this be stupid? i need opinions please!!
