Would you consider this child a genius?
I am debating whether or not my little sister is a genius. She is ten now, but she was already read all of Edgar Allen Poe by the time she was eight. As well as all sorts of clic books such as Jane Eyre, Dracula, and Great Expectations. She scored in the college reading level (she's in fourth grade), and was writing poetry when she was seven. However, her math abilities are very low, and unfortunatley, some people use that as not being able to recognize her intelligence. She also mentioned to me she felt sorry for the creature in Frankenstein, and said he only wanted a friend, but everyone judged him. So, why was it in the horror genre if it was so sad. I have heard about brain abilities to accept reading or math over other subjects. But a little girl reading all those works and at high level flawlessly and quickly. Would you consider her a genius? I just wanted to get other opinions for I would consider her one.
