Need your help especially if you live in a small Canadian town?

So I was wondering if your city hauls your snow to a specific location or when it gets plowed do they just leave it piled up on the side of the road? Can you please tell me what city ur from? I'm from a town with 32,000 and we pile it on the side of the road and it's quite a nuisance. I'm trying to change that but I need more information on how different places do it.
