Cestrians! Hawaaian War canoe racing on the River Dee?

I was watching You've been Framed the other night and was a clip of three Hawaaian war canoes racing, one of which capsized. The camera pulled back and I was surprised to see it looked like the River Dee in Chester - that part immediately below St Paul's Church Boughton. I remember the view well as I grew up there. Was I right?
